Very nice spot on this part of the corniche. The waiters are super friendly, the menu has all the classics (foul, balila, msabbaha, variants of hummus plus different kinds of manaeesh), the outdoors seating is nice.

A friend recommended this restaurant for lunch, I am so glad she did! We were right on the beach and have nice shade from the umbrellas, even though it was the beginning of November and fairly hot. The presentation was gorgeous! We had a plate as well as eggplant and hummus. I wish they would’ve had larger drinks. I had the tiniest Perrier. We were a bit rushed and eating our food. Something I have not experienced in any other Lebanese restaurant, and this is my fifth visit to Lebanon. Our waiters and waitresses were still very respectful. It was just strange to be rushed when the tables around us were empty.

Traditional Lebanese with a modern twist! I honestly love it, the location and the atmosphere are very pleasant, the menu is rich and prices are convenient. If you are passing by Tyre then you should definitely visit kahwet el balad for a coffee, breakfast, or lunch, followed by a nice walk by the sea right in front of it .. enjoy

Authentic lebanese food, recommended especially for breakfast, sea front and the music fits perfectly with the lebanese/arabic theme of the place.
